Every year the Bendemeer Hall hosts the art show, although just three years ago the date was changed from autumn to spring, and that move has paid dividends ever since according to secretary Margaret Hemmings.
"It has been a really positive move for the show," she said.
"We are in the same time frame as the Nundle and Kootingal shows now, and the weather is much nicer in Bendemeer in spring."

Once again the event is open to all forms of art, including painting, photography, sculpture, 3D work, quilting and a miscellaneous section to name a few.
"There is over $1000 in prizes, and apart from the art we will have the kitchen running, stalls, a Grey Fergie tractor display, a reclaimed timber display from the Farrells at the Bendemeer Sawmill, and the Tamworth woodturners," Mrs Hemings said.
The three day event will also include artworks by former Bendemeer artists Charles McRae, Les White and Pat Emery, as well as some locally themed categories.
"The special category will be My Bendemeer - past present and future, and the children's category will be Life on the Farm," Mrs Hemmings said.
"All money raised will go towards the maintenance of the Bendemeer Hall."
Entries close on October 7, with the event running from October 24-27.
