Gunnedah Netball Association president Steve Betts said Saturday's action was the perfect way to cap off an entertaining season.
"It was a really good year and, as a committee, we couldn't be prouder with how everything panned out," Betts told the Leader.
"In my opinion, we saved the best netball for last on grand final day.
"I don't think the scorelines truly reflected how close the matches really were."
Betts said the future of netball in the Gunnedah region was "looking very bright".
"We formed a new committee this year and I am pleased to say Gunnedah netball is looking very strong at the moment," he said.
"So far this year we have received grant funding from both Gunnedah Shire Council and Greater Bank, so we can invest in our future.
"None of this is possible without the support of our volunteers, umpires and coaches.
"Without them we wouldn't have been successful this year as we are, so a big thanks goes out to them.
"All up, things are really looking positive for us at the moment."
Betts said "there was still plenty of exciting" events left for Gunnedah netball this year.
"We have our presentation evening coming up this weekend and then we are launching our twilight competition early next month," he said.
"It's a mixed competition and registrations open soon, so we would love to see a lot of people join in the fun."
