It's hard to believe parts of the region had snow just a few weeks back with temperatures in the 30s expected over the coming days.
Friday is set to be the hottest day with Tamworth headed for a high of 31.
As is usually the case, Moree will get the worst it with a max of an incredible 35 degrees on Friday.
The warm, dry and windy conditions are also likely to elevate fire dangers later this week and total fire bans are likely.
The spike in temperature won't last long, though, with the mercury plummeting on Saturday just in time for the Group 4 grand finals.
Tamworth will reach just 19 degrees while Walcha will only get to 14 on Saturday.
Walcha will be really feeling it on Monday with a low of -5 degrees.
And to cap off a weird and wonderful week of weather, there will be frosts across the region early on Monday morning.
