Big crowds, big events, big competitions, big rides, a big band, the biggest meat smoker, and the second year in a bigger venue, as well as an extra day.
Last year the show society, and the city, marked the end of an era when the event left the old Showground to take up residence in the AELEC, and that move is already paying dividends according to Tamworth Pastoral and Agricultural secretary Janelle Tongue.
"It has been fantastic this year - we are expecting it to be one of the biggest shows in years," she said.
"We couldn't fit everything in to two days, so we have had to establish a third day, and have had plenty of interest across the board."
While the opening day, Friday, will be open to the general public, it is known as School's Day, with over 600 regional students to tour the different blocks and rings, as the action gets underway with camel racing, blade shearing and celebrity shearing, with former NRL star Alan Tongue testing his skills.

The gates will open early on Saturday with the campdraft starting at 7am, before Governor General David Hurley officially opens the show at the 2pm Grand Parade, where Aleyce Simmonds will sing the anthem, Alan Tongue will MC, and the Tamworth Showgirl winner will be crowned.
Saturday afternoon and night will see the event hit full swing with plenty more competitions and events, the rodeo, a performance from Hurricane Fall and fireworks at 9pm.
"The rides and sideshow alley where a bit lacking last year, so this year we have a lot more kids rides, as well as a really big ride, the 33m Aviator, and even some camel rides," Mrs Tongue said.
"After you pay to get in everything is free, except food - it is a full days entertainment for a low cost."
Another first this year will see two raffles, each with a three night stay at Foster as the man prize.
One raffle will be $5 a ticket, and the other will see all fathers given a free ticket into the Father's Day draw, which will be drawn at 3pm on Sunday.
Entry to the show is $16.50 for adults, $11 for seniors, $5.50 for school children, $39 for a family of five, or $55 for a family pass to all three days.
