THE Walcha Rams have finished the Central North home and away season in emphatic style with a 76-24 win over the Scone Brumbies.
A hat-trick of tries from Charlie Keen helped set up the win for the home side in chilly conditions.
Lachlan Brown and Tom Bucknell helped back up Keen's performance with two tries of their own.
For the Brumbies, the loss was a fall from grace after they defeated the Moree Bulls last week.
Douglas McKillop was the visitors' best on the day, finishing with two tries.
With a bye in the final round of the home and away season, the Rams will now turn their attentions to a finals campaign in two weeks time.
Saturday's victory sees the Rams sit five points clear atop the Central North ladder, ahead of the Narrabri Blue Boars in second, who recorded a 29-10 win over Quirindi.
The Moree Bulls remain hot on the heels of the Blue Boars, with only one point separating the two teams.
Meanwhile, the Gunnedah Red Devils and Pirates continue to fight it out for the remaining place in the finals, with just one point separating the pair from fourth and fifth respectively.
