A LITTLE boy who suffered serious injuries when he was run over in a Tamworth driveway earlier this week has been moved out of intensive care.

Police confirmed on Thursday, the young boy was still listed in a serious condition in Newcastle's John Hunter Hospital with serious injuries, but his condition had improved and he had been moved out of the children's intensive care unit.
The young boy was struck in the driveway of a Cossa Street home in West Tamworth, about 4.30pm on Monday.
Police have been told the child was knocked down when a car reversed out of the driveway.

The boy suffered several injuries and was initially taken to Tamworth hospital by ambulance before being flown to John Hunter Hospital.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are continuing, police said.
The accident came less than 24 hours after a child was struck by a car in the driveway of a Granville Street home in Inverell on Sunday night.
The toddler was airlifted to Sydney Children's Hospital with a suspected broken arm and other injuries.
