In clearing 1m in the junior girls high jump, Summers eclipsed the existing record of 96cm that had stood for 40 years.
She was one of three individual record-breakers for the carnival with Nundle's Sienna Burr setting a new benchmark of 10.40m in the 11yrs girls shot put and Woolomin's James Sampson of 1.34m in the senior boys high jump.
The Dungowan senior relay team also etched their names into the record books.
The annual carnival involved students from Dungowan, Nundle, Woolomin and Tintinhull and was held at the Dungowan school's athletics field.
It was a good day for the hosts, named the winning school overall.

Nundle's Riley Emerton was named the junior boys champion, Dungowan's Ryan Fitzgerald the 11yrs boys and Nundle's Montanna McInnes the senior girls.
Running since the 1970's the carnival is a highlight of the Peel Valley social and sporting calendar, and has a strong emphasis on participation with no set criteria of times or distances.
"Everyone is given an opportunity to compete," newly-appointed Dungowan principal Kerrie-Anne Hubble said.
"It's more of a fun day, a supportive day. The kids all encourage each other."
