The Roos dropped to fifth place on the men's ladder after being downed 36-30 by the undefeated Warialda Wombats team on Saturday but can secure a spot in the semi-finals with a win over Tingha in their coming last round clash.
Both teams traded tries in the opening half with Mitch Eveleigh, Jason Latham and Steven Eveleigh crossing for the home side to hold an 18-14 lead at the break.
A lull in Walcha's defence in the second stanza saw Warialda post four tries in four sets and rocket out to a 36-20 lead.
The Roos found their way back into the match with Jock Abraham shrugging off defenders to score next to the posts.
Mitch Eveleigh managed to bring up his brace three minutes later when he touched down in the corner.
Eveleigh nearly had his hat-trick with two minutes left on the clock but Warialda dragged him into touch to win the game 36-30.
Jock and Max Abraham were rewarded for their efforts in the front row against the Wombats big forwards with the pair earning best and fairest points from the referee.
In his third game for the Roos, lock Josh Kevill received the players' player award.
The Jillaroos didn't take to the field with Warialda forfeiting.
The Wombats women must have looked at the weather forecast and decided to pull the pin.
The Jillaroos did receive two ladder points which guarantees them a spot in the finals.
The Roos and Jillaroos are off to Tingha this Saturday for the final round of the Group 19 second division season.
