Firstly there was the result, the win a welcome one after a run of draws and a three goal loss to Services last round.
Secondly there was the way they played and thirdly the return of some of their key players.
They were only missing one regular first grader in Lucy Hofman.
"We could actually run the team we wanted to run and play the way we wanted to," Wilson said.
One of the key differences to previous weeks was were they were able to get good numbers forward and assert sustain pressure on Olympians.
"We were able to hold the ball in a forward position and really put pressure on in their half and quarter, which is something we haven't been able to sustain for long periods of time," he said.
With the players they have been missing, they haven't really had the strength to do that.
He said they did take a little while to find their rhythm and weren't quite making those connections in the first half. But in the second half they really clicked into gear.
Wilson said he could count on one hand how many times Olympians got in their half, the most pleasing thing from his perspective the way that they implemented what they had spoken about at half-time.
They slotted two late goals to seal the victory, Hayley Lennon and Katrina Rekunow both netting doubles.
Lennon was making her return from injury, which enabled Wilson to push Rekunow forward into a more attacking role in the midfield, which gave them a stronger presence up front.
"I'm hoping we can build on that," he said.
"It shows the capability of what is there."
"If we can keep that team on the park more often than not we'll be very competitive."
