Rotarian and show organiser Neville Evans said there was a great variety among the 92 prized cars and tractors on show.
The event is the club's primary fundraiser for the year with the donated money to be distributed to a range of Tamworth charities and organisations.
The total money raised will be tallied over the coming days.
The best car award went to John O'Rourke and his is the 1934 Plymouth PE Deluxe.
Mr O'Rourke found the car sitting by the side of the road in his hometown with a for sale sign on it.
Over the last decade, he pulled it apart down to every nut and bolt and installed totally new wiring and paintwork to what we see hear.
He also won the "longest travelled" award as clocking-up 1415 kilometers from Koroit, Victoria to Tamworth, but well worth the trip, he said. He even built a car trailer to transport the Plymouth to the TRECC.
The people's choice car was the 1960 FB Holden which was a family car for Peter and July Beauchamp of Mt Annan.
