Councillors urged to nix a proposed roo cull
THE council has been urged to knock back a request to cull kangaroos on a farming property it leases.
The person who leases the property, "The Common", from Tamworth Regional Council has claimed the land has become "overrun" with roos, to the point where they haven't been able to have any stock graze since the lease was signed. Read more.

TAMWORTH'S mayor, Col Murray, could be packing his bags for another trip to China this year.

Council proposes $15.2m organic waste recycling project
THE council's organic waste recycling plant could be reborn with $15.2 million plan to get the facility up and running within two years.
Initial plans for the facility were binned last year after concerns were aired about its proposed location near the airport. Read more.
