A lack of players showing interest in lining up for the Spuds to play in the second division competition has committee members concerned.
"It is not looking good at all," Spuds president Mick Wilson said.
"No players pretty much. We are going to give it two weeks to decide our future."
Only "two or three" men have been turning up to the club's pre-season training sessions.
Wilson said it is disappointing for the committee who worked to bring the club back from the rugby league wilderness, and for the league tag players who have been turning up.
"We have got good funds and good supporters and good sponsors but no players.

"A heap of young girls have come along and they are not looking too bad but they can't play with no blokes."
Wilson is also involved in the junior Spuds which has grown in numbers and gone from strength-to-strength.
He said a lot of the focus of the senior club was to inspire the junior players.
"Our juniors look good, we want to focus on our junior league coming through," Wilson said.
"We really want to show them what a bit of commitment is to your town.
"We have got to get commitment in the next two weeks otherwise she is done and dusted."
Interested players are urged to contact the club or come along to the Sporting Complex on Wednesdays at 6pm.
