Australia’s Got Talent senior producer Marissa Viney said the schedule had been at “absolute capacity” at Best Western Sanctuary Inn during the festival.
More than 50 people auditioned and many others had to be asked to apply online or try later in other location.

“The response was overwhelmingly awesome,” Ms Viney said, and “mostly country-ish” – not a surprise given the droves of people in town for just such a genre.
She could not reveal who might be a step closer to appearing on the Seven show.
“We have to be fair to everyone and make sure we see everyone first,” she said.
“This was our first, unofficial, location … we’re about to embark on a national tour in a couple of weeks.”
