The easiest way to get around
Road closures make Peel Street a haven for pedestrians, but for those that drive – you might want to look at alternative parking and transport options to get around town. We’ve added the pubs with shuttle buses to help you grab a cold one as quick as possible after a long day of festival fun.
Festival accommodation
The majority of hotels and motels in town will tell you that there’s no vacancy. Don’t give up hope. A quick ring around to some of Tamworth’s accommodation options might reveal a last minute cancellation.
A place to camp for free
For those that prefer a swag under the stars, there’s a number of options for campers around town – and some of it is free. Check out our list of available places to park up for the night.
Road closures
Avoid the U-turns and dead ends, here’s exactly what roads will be closed for the duration of Tamworth Country Music Festival. Loals should watch out as Peel Street is due to close earlier than usual this year as the council gets prepared.
Things to do with the kids
Bringing the kids with you to TCMF? Here’s some ideas to entertain them while you’re in Tamworth. You might also want to check out the Golden Guitar tourist attraction which is a must-see if you’re in Tamworth.
The important stuff – Cowboy Hats
It wouldn’t be Tamworth if you didn’t have a Cowboy Hat. You can get the official Toyota straw hat for a $2 donation to Rural Aid from Ray Walsh House or Tamworth Toyota Dealership.
If you’re into the real thing then check out our guide to buying an Akubra.
Water restrictions
Water restrictions are in place in and around Tamworth and vary between areas.
