In search of their fourth straight win, the competition leaders shared the wickets amongst their talented bowling attack – with quicks Tait Jordan and Jack McVey and off-spinner Scott Brennan each taking three wickets on Saturday. In reply, City were 7-107 at stumps.
Smith said the match “could go either way” on day two.
“So, yeah, we just need to be cautious of that,” he said.

Coming off their first win of the season, against Norths last round, Bective were dismissed in the 44th over, with opener Tom Haling (23) top-scoring.
Former Bulls captain Adam Jones, playing his second game after a short-lived retirement, made 25.
Brennan (34) and Troy Hearfield (30) top-scored for City, with Jack Montgomery (3-20 off eight overs) and Lachlan Davidson (2-21 off seven) the Bulls’ best bowlers.
