The surface of the roadway has many ruts and potholes near the intersection of Browns Lane where upgrade works are in progress.
The wet weather might slight delay works.

It is hoped the surface will dry out by Friday and construction crews will then be able rework the surface and seal it.
After a seal is applied to the roadway, water-filled barriers will be used to form a temporary roundabout.
When the roundabout opens for use, Browns Lane will fully reopen to traffic and Moore Creek Road traffic conditions will return to normal except for a reduced speed limit of 60km/h.
Council will resume construction work for the intersection upgrade once Essential Energy relocates a major underground powerline from the intersection.
The temporary roundabout may be in place for several months until the powerline work is completed.
The heavens opened on Tuesday over Tamworth with rain gauges at the airport catching close to 12 millimeters.
