A CARLOAD of teenagers have been involved in fatal crash near Armidale on Saturday evening.
An 18-year-old man died after the car he was driving rolled on Castledoyle Road, 11km east of Armidale
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 5.15pm following reports of a crash.
The driver was taken to Armidale Hospital, where he later died.
Three passengers – a 17-year-old girl and two boys, aged 14 and 12 – were trapped in the vehicle for a number of hours before being freed.
All three were taken to Armidale Hospital with serious injuries.
Officers from New England Police District, with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit, will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
