On Friday, from 12pm to 2pm, the real estate agents will don their flannies and whip out a pair of tongs to do their bit – and whatever’s raised, the agency will match it.
Karen Vial said as rural real estate agents, they’ve witnessed the hardships those on the land are facing.
“Whether you’re on land or not, you just see how devastating it is, and how it affects everybody,” she said.
“Tamworth is very community-minded. Hopefully they’ll walk down for a feed and throw a bit of spare change in the jar.”
The ‘RU Aware, We Care’ campaign is a local initiative that distributes food hampers, fuel vouchers, and helps landholders with bills.
