He’s then accused of robbing The Good Guys last Thursday afternoon of cash while armed with a knife, then fleeing in a Mitsubishi Magna.
Detectives will allege he acted alone in the robbery.
He was arrested 26 hours later by detectives, following investigations, and spent the weekend in custody before Monday’s court appearance.
The case has been referred to the DPP because of the serious nature of the charges and detectives have been ordered to compile their brief of evidence.
Magistrate Julie Soars ordered him to remain in custody until the case returns to court in late-August.
