The Gunnedah residents are volunteering at the Commonwealth Games as a way to support rugby union.
“This is our first volunteering effort in the big smoke,” Mark said.
“It’s an opportunity to give back the the sports we like and see it from a different angle.”
The Kesbys background in the game comes in the form of playing and administration roles.
“I used to play, I’ve been president of Gunnedah rugby and our kids played juniors with Gunnedah right through to seniors. We’ve had a long association with the game,” Mark said.
Mark is working as a liaison officer with the Welsh women’s rugby team while Prue’s volunteering job will revolve around the game day action.
The Kesbys also said they were keen to head to a few of the athletics events at the Commonwealth Games.
