Four Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) employers and one staffer’s daughter had their hair clipped on the steps of Ray Walsh House this week.
While locks were lost, a tidy sum was gained for the Leukaemia Foundation as part of the World’s Greatest Shave.
Sherrill Young had her second close cut for the cause and urged others not to be so precious.
“People get a little bit precious about things that aren’t important,” she said.
“You get your hair cut off, it’ll grow back.
“You get cancer, you mightn’t wake up tomorrow.
“You've got to put things in perspective.”
