Chaffey Dam and Lake Keepit are proving popular, as are the region’s pools.
All of the region’s pools except Barraba will be back to normal operating hours on Boxing Day and you’ll be able to go for a dip on New Year’s Day, every where except Manilla and Nundle.
The Forest Rd tip will be taking trash once again from Boxing Day, while the region’s smaller landfills will be open sporadically over the holiday period.
The marsupial park and botanical gardens will be shut solely on Christmas, returning to normal opening hours on December 26.
The city library and art gallery will reopen from December 27, with a new exhibition showcasing “Portrait stories from Australians of the Year” from the National Portrait Gallery.
Ray Walsh House and council offices in Manilla, Barraba, and Nundle close their doors of Friday, December 22 and won’t reopen until Tuesday, January 2.
The Youthie in Coledale is also taking a break from Friday before returning on January 2 and rolling back into its school holiday program.
