“Most of the outpatient services at Tamworth Hospital were able to relocate into the new space in late 2016 and I’m delighted that the final service has now moved in to wrap up the redevelopment project,” Ms Heyman said.
“The final services to move were the orthopaedic ward, outpatient clinic and the fracture clinic and are now able to see their patients in the refurbished departments and Outpatient Centre in the Bruderlin Building.”
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said ongoing work in the rehab unit would be finished by early 2018.
“We need to continue to provide the very best health care services close to home and the redeveloped Tamworth Hospital along with the dedicated staff, is delivering on that.” Mr Anderson said.
The redevelopment was funded by state and federal governments in 2011.
