The Bendemeer Art Show has been running for 35 years, and after a hiatus last year, is making its return later this month.
Organiser Margaret Hemmings said the exhibition is resurrecting this year under a new name and date.
“We’ve always called it the Colours of Autumn,” Mrs Hemmings said.
“We didn’t have it in 2016, so we’ve scrambled together a new committee.
“We always have it in April, but it’s always been difficult with Anzac Day, school holidays and Easter, so we’ve changed the concept. It’s no longer just an exhibition. It’s an exhibition and a sale.”
The event is now called Spring into Art at Bendemeer, and will run from October 20 to 29 in the Bendemeer Hall.
The 10-day art and craft exhibition will feature demonstrations and stalls. The show kicks off with the official opening on Friday, October 20 at 6.3pm. Tickets are $10. The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm daily.
