The event will be held in the city’s Peel St and surrounds on Saturday, October 14 from 4pm until 8.30pm. It will feature tasting plates from around the world along with street and stage entertainers, bands, dancers and drumming. But the action doesn’t stop there with cultural workshops for the family with community members invited to embrace the district’s cultural diversity.
Countries represented include - Australia, Africa, UK, India, Fiji, Lebanon, Thailand, France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, New Zealand, Philippines and more. Tamworth Regional Council’s events manager Barry Harley said the event was shaping up to be a success.
“We’ve got over 40 different cultures and countries represented in the field,” he said. “We’ve got a very, very good line up of free food samples plus the opportunity to buy other samples.
“We’re looking at another successful festival, it’s probably the second largest festival in Tamworth when you consider numbers.”
