Miami Jetstream obviously showed his likeness for a heavy surface as the track was rated a heavy eight. He led from go to whoa and hung on tenaciously for a narrow victory.
George Woodward led in the winner of the next race in the shape of Cathay Belle. Cathay Belle led all the way to score by a good two-length margin.
In the following race, George was again prominent when Hot Testa showed a liking for the heavy surface. Hot Testa's performance was a standout as he had to come from last at the halfway mark to all but run down the first and second placegetters.
Secret Tic was the next to go for the stable and he didn't disappoint either, finishing second after travelling third and fourth throughout.
Mollie Partridge continued her relationship with Prince Mayted on Monday. Mollie made the long Journey from Wauchope to Coonabarabran to ride Prince Mayted. The effort paid dividends when Prince Mayted won.
Prince Mayted also has another Walcha interest with Andrew Bird being a part-owner. His investment has been a good one.
