The Tamworth Ford Owners group raised $3200 at their annual ‘All Ford Day’ in March which they decided to put toward a number of iPads and other items for sick children.
The group has simple premise with about 60 members who all drive Fords and meet on the first Sunday of every second month to go for a cruise in their prized vehicles.
“We couldn’t think of anyone better deserving of this donation,” group president Mick Mehrton said.

“I know it can pretty boring sitting in hospital.”
And it is a personal cause for Mr Mehrton, who has had his own experiences with children’s wards.
“I was stuck in a hospital for seven weeks when I was a young boy,” he said.
“It wasn’t really a fun place to be.”
The group also donated iTunes vouchers and PlayStation games to the ward. This is the fourth year the group has made a donation from its car show proceeds, previously donating to Youth Insearch, a charity for disadvantaged kids.
