The hosts were accommodating to the visitors, dropping all five games on the first of three days of competition. North West began with a 5-nil loss to Sydney West then fell to last year’s winners MacKillop 8-1 before a narrow 3-2 defeat to North Coast, an 8-1 loss to Sydney West and a 7-2 loss to CIS.
Winless North West manager/coach James Waters thought his young side played well.
