The Tamworth Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a winter fashion parade tomorrow at Mary Help of Christians Hall at 2pm, with all money raised going to patient care.
The afternoon will involve coffee and cheesecake, as well as nibbles and punch on arrival.
The Country Top Shop will provide the fashions, with Robyn Hely, Robyn Pittman, Helen O’Haera and Bev Albertson as models.
The shop’s Jo Verzendaal is a jazz singer and will be singing as well as the master of ceremonies, and donated the raffle prize.
“We raise the money then we ask the hospital what they need,” committee member Carol Swain said.
“In the past 12 months, there has been about $42,000 donated to provide curtains for the new hospital, and we are buying a showering bed for paraplegics.”
This fundraiser is one of several that are held throughout the year to raise money for patient needs at the hospital.
“We would like to raise as much as we can, because all funds go to our local hospital for patient care,” Mrs Swain said.
Bookings are required to Maureen Sampson on 6765 9969 or Mrs Swain on 0427 456328.
