They were the only undefeated team of the 28 that took to the greens, finishing with five wins and a draw, and a margin of +46.
Their draw came against the combination of Terry Johnson and Bryon Cohen with the two sides scoring 14 apiece.
South Tamworth’s Chris Herden and West Tamworth’s Jason Douglas were runners up on five wins +84 ahead of Manilla father and son pairing Graham and Ryan Wells.
They had five wins +50.
Fourth was North Tamworth’s Grahame Cameron and Dick Russell with five wins +37.
Kootingal’s Jason Pinnock said the two-day carnival went off very well, although the rain in Friday did slow up the greens a little bit.
They had teams from as far away as Mona Vale, as well as Guyra and Manilla and all the local Tamworth clubs.
n Lawn bowlers are reminded nominations for the CNDBA District Club Champion of Champions Singles and Pairs close Wednesday, August 12. Nomination forms have been emailed to all clubs.
The CNDBA Annual General Meeting will be held at Nundle on Sunday, August 9 from 10am .
The South Tamworth Mixed pairs will also be held that weekend along with the North Tamworth Presidents Day (Saturday,
August 8).
