A spokesman for the organisation said Challenge had doubled in size since 2008 and had literally outgrown its former premises in Carthage St, necessitating finding a new business home.
Challenge had been at that Carthage St headquarters since 2000 but moved to the present Peel St site late last year.
It has retained Carthage St as the offices for its children’s services division.
Challenge was established in Tamworth in 1958 by a group of parents and friends seeking support services for their children with disabilities.
Today, Challenge has grown to become one of the largest community support services in NSW, providing support to more than 1000 people from as far afield as Albury and Lismore.
