Mrs Medlock was renowned for the cat and dog refuge she ran on Porcupine Ln in Kootingal until she moved to Woolomin two-and-a-half years ago.
After a break before a hip replacement, and then recovering from the operation during which, she said, she could hardly rescue herself, she's back rehoming dogs and cats.
After the operation she got a few cats to rehome and it went from there.
The animal saviour lives outside of Woolomin with her five dogs, two pet cats and five refuge cats, which didn't find homes and she couldn't put down, seven chooks, two horses one is 30 and two budgies.
Mrs Medlock is moving back closer to Kootingal, though, and will continue with her current rescue plan of "just one or two animals at a time ... I'm yet to be convinced it won't increase".
Two days before she made the move to Woolomin, a heavily pregnant female dog was thrown over her front fence and gave birth to a litter of seven puppies one has joined her menagerie.
"I've always rescued," she said.
"The dogs used to find me. Even when my children were little, I was rescuing. I'm just rescuing one or two at a time, or a litter of small puppies."
Mrs Medlock has been rescuing them through the Tamworth Veterinary Hospital and rehoming them via Classified Corner on 2TM and word-of-mouth.
"I am saving them from harm's way. It gives you so much pleasure to see people so happy to get a new dog or cat in their lives," she said.
She has two greyhounds and a Koolie-cross looking for new families.
