Alison Kilroy was one of six customers to be pulled from a barrel during Monday night’s annual $5000 draw at Woodley’s Motors, attended by more than 250 people.
The six lucky finalists were then asked to simultaneously pop the boot of their selected vehicle and collect an envelope that had been placed in it.
Five of the envelopes had $100 gift vouchers but Mrs Kilroy’s contained a cheque for $5000.
“I was just floored when I realised I’d won,” Mrs Kilroy said.
“The money is a bit of a godsend and I’ll be sharing it with my family.”
Entries in the barrel were given to customerswho had purchased a vehicle from Woodley’s during April or May.
“It’s a great incentive and good odds for customers,” Mark Woodley from Woodley’s Motors said.
