Six men and one woman have been charged by Strike Force Jenning detectives since the operation unravelled late last year.
The taskforce was set up in 2013 to investigate the supply of drugs in Tamworth; after a three-month investigation, officers began to pounce on suspects in December.
All seven co-accused had their cases heard in Tamworth Local Court last week, when Cinthia Reid was charged with two fresh offences.
Reid now faces two counts of taking part in the supply of a prohibited drug and two counts of supplying or knowingly taking part in the supply of prohibited drugs.
Adrian James Boucher, Peter Green, Justin Anthony Heywood, Jermane Jackson, Cinthia Reid and her husband Trent, along with Michael Gary Sadler, face a combined 50 drug and firearms charges, with Boucher also accused of possessing child abuse material and using a phone to access child pornography.
Many of the accused face up to 25 years in prison if convicted of supplying drugs on an ongoing basis.
In the brief appearance in Tamworth Local Court last week, Crown Prosecutor Mark Ferguson asked for extra time to consider the brief of evidence, which was delivered in three boxes. Detectives will allege they discovered tens of thousands of dollars worth of drugs, cash, firearms, a Taser and explosives during the co-
ordinated raids on a number of Tamworth homes. They will also allege the group was involved in the supply of methamphetamines, cannabis and prescription drugs such as Oxycontin – much of which was seized by officers.
The case will return to court at the end of the month. Boucher, Heywood, Jackson, Trent Reid and Peter Green remain in custody, while Cinthia Reid and Sadler had their conditional bail continued.
