Alison Threadwell partnered the three-year-old gelding for Newcastle trainer David Atkins, a keen Manly Sea Eagles NRL supporter.
“Dave’s a mad Manly fan,” Threadwell said of her maroon white quarter colours.
“I did my apprenticeship with him and have continued to ride for him since.”
She’s now tallied around 140 winners.
“I’ve had a bit of success up here (at Tamworth) for Pat Farrell too.
“This bloke (Miramaher) just wants a bit of ground and rolled along real well.”
It was a good day for Newcastle-based Threadwell as she finished with a double when Frankieourfingers nosed out Flight In Space to win the last race of the day.
The Corey’s Catering Benchmark 55 Handicap became a real ladies’ affair.
Jan Bowen trains Frankiefourfingers and had Threadwell aboard while Flight In Space is trained by Sue Grills, who had Sophie Young aboard.
