Playing reduced 30-over-a-side games due to the heat, CNZ tonked 9-204 and then restricted Southern to 5-178 from their 30 overs.
Psarakis followed his first- day heroics with bat and ball to hammer 110 off just 62 balls,CNZ manager John Kilborn said.
“His first 50 came off 45 balls and his second took just 16,” Kilborn said.
“He hit six sixes and nine fours.”
Openers Max Houlahan (8) and Jayden Park (26) gave the side a solid start before Psarakis emerged to take charge.
He and Ryan Hansen, batting at eight, put on 84 for the seventh wicket, Hansen finishing with 23.
CNZ’s bowlers then bowled tightly early.
Narrabri left-arm leg spinner Jake Brayshaw finished with the best bowling figures, claiming 3-29 from his five overs.
Inverell’s Mitch Lennon (1-15 off 3) and Maitland’s Park (1-27) also had success.
Glen Innes’s Perry Stapleton was best though, the left-arm opening bower allowing 15 runs from his six overs.
“All the boys did a good job,” Kilborn said of the bowling attack.
“They kept the runs down early and at the drinks break Southern was 2-77 off 15 overs.
“They lost two wickets in the 16th and another in the 17th and that got them a fair way behind the run rate.
“They went the tonk late.”
Tim Coenen (52no) and Jack Preddy (46no) hit out late but they needed too many and finished 26 runs short.
Central North plays Riverina in a third-round match at Nowra Showground today.
Yesterday, Riverina was rolled for 78 by Central Coast.
“Everything is going all right,” Kilborn said.
“The boys are pretty happy with the way they are playing.”
