Jones polled the three points from umpires Phil Rainger and Kevin Wicks after blasting 63 from 64 balls and then claiming 3-13 to mop up the West tail.
He was the only Bective batsman to reach double figures but said the “sticky” wicket “was a bit tricky”.
“We didn’t deserve to win that today,” he said at stumps.
“It was a bit of a tricky wicket but we did have a few soft dismissals.
“However it was a great finish.”
After making just 124, Bective dismissed West for 101.
“It was good to finish with a win (before the Christmas break),” Jones said.
“It was what we needed.
“We’ve been close the last few weeks.
“We threw it away last week (loss to Souths) but now we’re in a good position.
“We go into the Christmas break in a good spot.
“There’s a lot of talent in this team.
“Hopefully we can take this win on board and run with it .
“Our bowling is very good so hopefully this can kick-start our season after Christmas.
“There’s good things in store for this side – I think we’re good enough.”
While Jones plundered the three points, teammate Greg Tighe received the two after taking 4-24 from seven good overs, and West Tamworth’s Daniel Cunningham received the one after his 5-30 in helping de-horn the Bulls for 124.
At Riverside 2, Dave Fisher won a second three-point award for his clean-hitting display against South Tamworth.
He hit two sixes and seven fours in his 33-ball 48 as his North Tamworth Redbacks made 6-187 in reply to South’s 9-185.
The teenager also claimed 1-27.
Clubmate Leo Steyn moved up to nine points, five adrift of the leading pair, after bagging a point for his allround effort.
He captured 4-32 off his eight overs, took a great catch to get rid of Chris Skilton for a golden duck and then hit a four and a six in his unbeaten 20 (19 balls).
16-year-old James Psarakis was a standout for South, hitting two sixes and three fours in his 63-ball 65 and then claiming 2-28 off his six overs.
At No 1 Oval, City United scored a thrilling one wicket win over Old Boys but could only sneak Simon Toyer (4-20) into the B&F voting.
Simon Norvill (Old Boys) received the three and teammate Aaron Hazlewood received the one but Michael Bellamy (31no) and Aaron Dennis (3-15 off 8) went unrewarded after matchwinning efforts.
Dennis’s spell with the ball to dismiss Ben Middlebrook, Hazlewood and Layne Berry turned the game.
