This morning the NSW SES has 6 teams working to deal with hundreds of call-outs from Tamworth residents yesterday, supplemented by a Fire and Rescue NSW Strike Force (4 pumpers and crew) and 3 other local Fire and Rescue NSW pumpers.
The NSW RFS are also supplying 3 teams.
Most of the reported damage has been broken windows, smashed roof tiles, skylights and solar panels.
Ten NSW SES teams will be travelling to Tamworth Unit this morning to provide assistance, with some teams arriving from early this morning and then throughout the day.
The SES has issued a statement asking for support and patience as they deal with hundreds of calls.
" We expect that most outstanding requests for help will be completed by close of business today, with all expected to be completed by noon tomorrow," a SES spokesperson said.
