A 54-year-old woman has died in hospital following reports she was hit by a car in Uralla last week.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Maitland Road and King Street at 7am on Monday, March 14.
New England Police officers believe a van and an SUV collided at the intersection, before one of the vehicles struck the woman who was crossing the road at the time.
The woman sustained severe head injuries, and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the van, aged 39 and the SUV driver, aged 42, were both taken to Armidale Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police were told the woman died in hospital on Wednesday, March 23.
Police are appealing for anyone with information, or dashcam footage, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
