At The Welder's Dog on Wednesday night, Brown - who hails from the Central Coast - will oversee the launch of Tamworth Bulls Armwrestling.
He said it was the city's first armwrestling club, with Wednesday's event doubling as a come and try evening.

The club was his way of providing an outlet for people "looking to do something different", he said, "with an emphasis on mental health".
Brown, BOC territory manager for Tamworth and Muswellbrook, said he constantly met people - men in particular - who were looking for the type of release armwrestling provided.
Those people, he added, were "workaholics" who were "giving everything to their families, but weren't really taking time for themselves".
"And what's been amazing is that the people I've talked to about it [the club] nearly always ask if they can bring a friend to try it, who's been going through some personal struggle or another [struggle]."
Brown said he had "about half a dozen members" at present, while the club was established under the umbrella of the Australian Armwrestling Federation.
Brown has a background in sports and conditioning, and combat sport.
He said he had followed armwrestling for "a couple of years".
The sport, he continued, had an "incredible culture", was growing rapidly and "there's a lot more of a technical side to the sport than people would realise".
"And it can be as social and as competitive as you want it to be," he added.
Those positives, Brown said, were often at odd with people's perception of armwrestling.
He said he wanted to "educate people about the culture of the sport" and its positive impact on society.
"And then give people a means of potentially getting back into some strength training - around some like-minded people in a really positive, supportive environment."
Club members had been training for about a month at RevFit, he said.
