They meet second-placed Gunnedah FC on Saturday and first-placed Oxley Vale Attunga on Sunday.
And Tamworth FC won't be leaving anything to chance for the clash with Gunnedah.
Winning that game is the main objective with Tamworth FC to field their strongest possible team on Saturday.
"We'll go for it on Saturday and worry about Sunday when it comes and see what we can put on the park," coach Wayne May said.
"We've got some good young fellas so hopefully they'll all be backing up."

Those young players had played crucial roles for Tamworth FC this year, May said.
"Nguyen Nguyen, he's firing at the moment down the right hand side," the coach said.
"He's playing good football and young Joe Botfield got a start in first grade up front [last weekend].
"JB [Josh Bartlett] was carrying a bit of a niggling injury. He played a bit of reserve grade then put him on as an impact player in the second half in firsts.
"I'm hoping he'll get over his little injury and be right for Saturday. He got through it pretty well [last weekend]."
Things have started to click in front of goal for Tamworth FC in the past two rounds with the side netting a total of 12 goals.
In their previous eight games, they had only managed to score eight goals.
They sit a win outside the top four and May thought the side was starting to build momentum into the back end of the season.
"If we can beat Gunnedah, we're only one point behind them. Second to fifth is pretty tight," he said.
May said his side will "no doubt be depleted" on Sunday but he was going to cross that bridge when he came to it.
Both of Tamworth's games are scheduled to be played at Johnson Field on Saturday and Sunday with 3pm start times.
