Good to see there are some younger harness enthusiasts making their way into the industry.
Tuesday night trials are the current competition outlet for the next bunch of junior drivers, with Jack Chapple and Jack Buckman ticking off their required 20 drives needed to become registered drivers.
Buckman has his association with the sport via his grandfather, Wayne Hetherington, and Narrabri trainer Jarred Hetherington, his uncle.
Chapple is following his sister, Elly, and his father, Dean, into the sport.
It was also pleasing to see that Molly Ison had her first drive at the trials on Tuesday night to commence her career, following in the footsteps of her brothers Sam and Tom and her sister Emma.
Both Chapple and Ison are prodigies of Tamworth Mini Trots.

In the Hunter Valley, Chloe Formosa commenced her driving career on Friday night at Newcastle with two drives for her father behind Ultimate Force and Ultimate Chance. Michael Formosa trained both horses.

Well done to reinsmen Dwayne Brown and Jeff Enks, who have found their way back to race-day competition.
Armidale's Enks made his track return at Tamworth last week and drove a winner straight up behind Groovy Shannon, after a seven-and-a-half-year absence from racing.
Brown also had his first drive back after an extended break. He felt "it was good to be back".
Both Enks and Brown had been kept busy in the sport whilst not competing, with Enks serving as a track attendant at Tamworth, Narrabri and Armidale, while Brown will soon obtain his licence to operate the mobile on race days.
