Goran Ellis, 24, is facing a string of allegations after he was arrested by Tamworth police about 9am on Friday.
He was charged with taking and driving a vehicle without consent; possessing a prohibited drug; having custody of a knife in a public place; having goods suspected of being stolen; and two counts of receiving or disposing of stolen property.
Ellis has admitted to the drug and knife offences, but court documents show he has denied the other charges.

Officers arrested Ellis on Manilla Road, Oxley Vale, on Friday morning, after they found him in possession of the knife and prohibited drugs. He was taken to Tamworth police station.
The police case is that the 24-year-old also had a silver bracelet and a gold necklace with him, which they claim Ellis knew had been stolen.
Police allege he had also disposed of two rings and a Pandora bracelet, which had allegedly been stolen earlier.
Court documents show Ellis is also accused of stealing a white Volkswagon Amarok ute from a Westdale home in the early hours of March 30.
He was refused police bail after his arrest on Friday, but was released on strict bail after fronting Tamworth Local Court later that day.
He is subject to an overnight curfew and must report to police regularly. He also had to post a $330 surety to secure his bail.
The case was adjourned.
