Vividly reimagining the treasured and symbolic songs of the 1960s and 70s that spilled across our airwaves during the Vietnam War - the songs that questioned, stirred and reflected the political turmoil and massive cultural changes happening during one of the most far-reaching and divisive events of the 20th century.
This all-new production brings together a group of outstanding musicians and vocalists to deliver superb interpretations of some of the most iconic pop, folk, soul and rock songs of the time. A projection design backdrop adds compelling storytelling and scenescape elements; depicting the groovy psychedelia of the flower power movement as well as images of the despair, protest and resistance that was flaring in the city streets of America and here in Australia.
Good Morning Vietnam, Music from the Vietnam War Era - Live in Concert! offers knockout renditions of songs by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Buffalo Springfield, Steppenwolf, The Beatles, Nancy Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, The Animals, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye and many more.
Come along and join us to relive the music of the Vietnam War Era - there's no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Wallflowering
Wallflowering, by award winning Australian playwright Peta Murray is a delightfully amusing and poignant play about the nature of marriage, the pursuit of happiness and the perfect foxtrot!
The play revolves around the lives of Peg and Cliff Small, an ordinary, suburban, middle aged couple who were once prize-winning ballroom dancers. The action is interspersed with ballroom dancing by a younger couple, who represent not only Peg and Cliff in their glory days, but also the older couple's romantic, idealised view of themselves.
There is great comedy and pathos in the exploration of Cliff and Peggy's "ordinary" lives. In the swish of a taffeta skirt and slide of patent shoes across the floor, the audience are transported to a glorious and romantic vision of our champions as perfectly synchronised, beautiful and extraordinary people.
On Tuesday 7 September Wallflowering will be at the Capitol Theatre from 7.30pm.
