The 12-year-old has just started at Knox Grammar School and while he will remain a member of the Kootingal-Moonbi Swimming Club, Mitchell will do most of his swimming with Knox Pymble Swim Club.
But on February 19-21, he'll have the purple Kooty cap on.

Mitchell qualified for five events including his favourite - the individual medley.
"He loves the medley and he qualified for free, back and butterfly so you can blatantly see he's not a breaststroker," Jack's mum Sonja said with a laugh.
Jack's been swimming since he was six months old but only competitively for the past few years.
The Mitchells landed in Tamworth about 10 years ago and started training with Kootingal-Moonbi roughly three years ago.
Jack's brother Hugh also swims with Kooty who turned out to be the best fit for the Mitchells' swimming needs, Sonja said.
"It's a great community," Sonja said.
"When the kids swim laps all you can hear is laughter and chitter chatter.
"They're competitive but in a really positive way."
It's set to be a big month for Jack. Not only will he swim at the country championships but before then he has the CAS Invitational on Friday, February 5.
Both Jack and Hugh won't be stopping at the country championships either.
The boys are both working toward registering qualifying times for the 2021 Junior State Age Championships which are set to be held on March 27-28.
