Dean has contested the Gold Nugget race on several occasions and drove the 2012 winner, Churchill Bromac.
Speaking from her family's Moonbi stable, 18-year-old Elly said: "It is getting really exciting. It is a race that everyone wants to have a horse in."
Right On With It finished second behind Royal Gambles in last year's Golden Nugget.
Elly said: ""Dad was on the horse last year and they ran a good race, so I thought we would keep the combination going."
The teen received her trainer's licence two months ago and is chasing her first win.
"It would be amazing to train my first winner in this race," she said.
"I think it is excellent for Dad and myself to be able to work together and to now be in a good local feature race together."
Elly has driven Right On With It on several occasions - winning three times behind the Real Desire-My Spirit of Tara eight-year-old gelding, who has drawn the six barrier in Sunday's 1980m race.
"He is one of my stable favourites," she said.
