Two people have been rescue by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service after a crash left them trapped in a ditch just north of Tamworth.

Just before midday on Saturday, the chopper was called out by Ambulance NSW to the Warrabah National Park.
Initial reports indicated the vehicle had driven off the road into the ditch, trapping the two people inside.
Local ambulance paramedics and emergency services attended the scene to begin the rescue operation.
The chopper's Critical Care Medical Team assisted a 30-year-old man who had received chest and arm injuries.

Once rescued from the car, he was stabilised before being flown directly to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital in a stable condition.
The second occupant was transported tot he same hospital by ambulance in a stable condition suffering minor injuries.
