It's the second time he has successfully defended his title after achieving back-to-back wins in 2015 and 2016.
He won his first in 2012 having won three at his former club in Brisbane, and was pretty happy with how he played over the four rounds.
Commenting after his 2016 win that consistency was the key, that was again the secret with only four shots difference between his best and worst round over the two weekends; his new clubs proving a good investment.
Club pro Brock Sampson set him up with them recently and he has been "going quite well with them".
Playing since he was 17, the former pro these days just enjoys the leisure side of the game and having a casual hit with his mates.
"I just play with my mates and neighbours and my sons," Hamilton said.
