There was just two points between Cougars and Outlaws heading into Saturday, and that remained unchanged after Warriors edged out Cougars 9-8 before thrashing the Outlaws 14-3.
Errors proved costly for the minor premiers, who despite out-hitting the Warriors 13-11 failed to convert their hits leaving 13 players stranded on base.

It was though a good fighting effort to get as close as they did with Warriors up 6-nil at one point.
Cougars' best with the bat was Scott Hurn, who had three hits while Brock Ridgewell and Andrew Ferris both had two.
The Ridgewell brothers shared the duties from the mound with Ben starting out and throwing 39 strikes from his 59 pitches. Brock then came on and closed with 35 strikes in his 50 pitches.
Cougars now wait to see whether they will face the Outlaws or Warriors in the grand final.
