The $1.3 million invested for the completed works was used to make close to 600 additional plots, a new amenities block, toilet facilities, additional lighting, and storm-water and drainage upgrades.
An open air pavilion with a public address system was also installed, complete with landscaping supplied with bore water irrigation.
A car park holding 26 spaces will provide additional access to the grounds, combined with a pedestrian bridge commencing the new and existing areas.

With future stages of the expansion, Tamworth Regional Council will be able to provide a further 3000 plots, and expansion to cater for the community's needs over the next 30 years.
Tamworth Regional Council Project Manager Amos Fenn, said the completion of these works means that we are able to provide for the needs of the community for the foreseeable future.
"[It will] give the community a modern and aesthetically pleasing space for their loved ones who have passed on," Mr Fenn explained.

"Future works will involve adding additional plots, ash internment walls and landscaping where required. Each ash internment wall has about 100 spaces."
He said works on the next stage will have a start date to be decided later, "as this project is based on the needs of the community for the next 30 years."
